New Summer Enforcement Fines Highlight Importance of Compliance Checks

As the Products you sell have changed recently, we are now seeing Legislatures react with new laws.

You may have heard, Tennessee just passed a new law impacting Tobacco and Vape Products effective July 1, 2025.1

A few items in the law stand out:2

  1. Mandatory Compliance Checks for Vape Products.  Each year, enforcement is mandated to conduct 2 Compliance Checks for Vapor Products.  Failures re-shopped within 30 days.
  1. Tennessee ABC has joint enforcement authority.  Now, both Alcohol and Tobacco/Vape will be part of their enforcement efforts.
  1. Heavy Fine.  For a first offense (failure) on Vape Products, the fine is $2,500!
  2. Bigger Fine. The 2nd failure is at least $20,000 AND License revocation!!

This is a HUGE development.  The fine levels are very high!
