State Lines Drive Contrasting Alcohol Training Requirements

Liquor Laws are never black and white. Often, they depend greatly upon the rules and regulations set in place by state and local governments.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, all new hire employees involved in the sale or service of alcoholic beverages in Oklahoma will be required to complete a State Alcohol Beverages Law Enforcement (ABLE) division-approved server training curriculum to learn responsible beverage service techniques, as well as state laws and regulations as they relate to the sale and service of alcohol. Employers will be required to have proof of employee training records available for inspection by an ABLE agent. Any in-house training programs must be approved by the state.

Do you need help with the liquor laws where your business operates? To stay current on the licensing requirements, we recommend using a local license attorney (try naclp.net) or call us,  The BARS Program. Contact us at customerservice@barsprogram.com or call 1-877-540-5500.
